2 Corinthians 5:17 (King James Version)
17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
I think this has been a slow process for me. Not that I have not wanted to be a new creature, not that I was content in my ways before I new Jesus personally, but more in that I did not know what He expected of me. I did not know how to make Him smile upon me from the Heavens. I did not know HOW to be a new creature!
I am learning...and taking action!
I am taking the Sabbath seriously! All my work is done in six days so that my family and I may rest on the Day the Lord has made for us to rest. We spend the day rejoicing in His presence, His creation, His wonder and His grace. Abounding in blessings, and showered in His love.
This is a new book I am reading that continues to inspire me in my quest to Honor and obey my Lord in His fourth command.
I started many new practices for the health and wellness of our family. I am still working on homemade bread(I get good results every other time). I make protein shakes every morning for my husband and I, I also prep salads for the entire week on Saturday.
I am really enjoying taking care of my boys!!!
Tomorrow I embark on a great Joy of mine!!! I will be starting a new garden... a TEA GARDEN!!! I am not sure what will be flourishing in it yet, but I will be digging it up tomorrow and preparing the soil!
this was the before picture of my flower garden, pretty sad and pathetic, it defiantly needed to start a new!, and so I invested some time for spring cleaning!!!
Now this is it's face-lift after many intense hours of labor, mind boggling amounts of elbow grease, and a few new rose bushes, blessings of our Italian land lord!
This is the flower bed in the front of the yard along the side of our driveway into the car port. Tomorrow I will be working on the other side of the car port drive creating the tea garden that will be the same length and width of the flower garden.
and the middle picture is my son's new obsession...WORMS!!!!
My favorite time of the year is spring. Everything is new!!! the warm temperatures, the thunderstorms,I am able to sit outside for my morning devotionals again, flowers are budding, leaves are growing butterflies are flying, and this is the time my Savior laid His life down for me and raised Himself to life three days later so that I could have new life in Him!!!
As this new season starts I am excited to think about all the new beginnings it brings, the blessings and joy that My Lord has in store for me!!
